Community Impact Fund

Access. It is a word often found in the world of climbing. For many folks it means gaining or maintaining access to a climbing area. However, access has come to mean something far greater – While climbing areas may be open, they are not equally accessible to all. EPAC formed a Community Engagement Committee  to specifically address the human side of access.

• Who has faced barriers to entry?
• What groups of people are not at our climbing sites?
• Do all climbing areas feel inclusive, safe and welcoming?
• Why and what can we do about it?

The Community Impact Fund is dedicated to advancing efforts and programs specifically designed to address these questions.   EPAC has been collecting feedback from individuals and groups within the climbing community. Some identified needs and potential projects include:
