Philly Bouldering

About The Area

The Philadelphia area has many small climbing areas dispersed throughout the city. The biggest site is Wissahickon Valley Park which is home to Livezey Rock, Revolutionary Ridge, and the 100 Steps Boulders.  You can also find sites strewn throughout the city at Kelly Drive, Cobbs Creek, and Penny Pack Park to name a few. The majority of it is bouldering with a few roped options sprinkled in.

PROJECTS

EPAC has established a relationship with Philadelphia Parks and Recreation as well as the Friends of the Wissahickon. We look forward to partnering with them on events throughout the city.

2023 – REVOLUTIONARY RIDGE CLEAN UP

EPAC continued its partnership with Friends of Wissahickon to provide another clean-up event. This time we moved to Revolutionary Ridge to pick up trash and remove graffiti.  The graffiti wasn’t too bad but there was a lot of glass! We are thankful to 16 volunteers who came to help out.

2022 – WISSAHICKON BIKE PATH

EPAC is so excited to host our first event in partnership with Friends of Wissahickon. A dedicated group came out and braved the misty weather to remove graffiti on rock surfaces as well as man made structures. Those who passed by expressed their appreciation for our work.

We look forward to more projects in the future in Philly.
