The Eastern Pennsylvania Alliance of Climbers (EPAC) is thrilled to share exciting developments regarding the High Rocks Improvement Project. Over the past year and a half, EPAC has been working diligently to advance this project, raising over $30,000 through a combination of grants, partnerships, and individual contributions.
This impressive fundraising achievement has been made possible by the generous support of:
The funds will primarily support the Access Fund Conservation Team’s upcoming 4-week visit to High Rocks Vista, where they will focus on trail improvements. During the week, the team will be joined by the DCNR PA Outdoor Corp, and together they will undertake crucial trail work. In addition, EPAC will host volunteer stewardship days on weekends, offering climbers and park enthusiasts the opportunity to work alongside these professionals. The Conservation Team will also provide technical trail training to ensure the sustainability of the improvements.
Remaining funds will be allocated to essential park enhancements, including invasive species management, planting native vegetation, adding one or two new benches, repairing fences, installing signage, and addressing other park needs.
EPAC recognizes that this is an ambitious project and is committed to rallying the climbing community and park users to support these efforts. We invite everyone to join us in making a lasting impact on High Rocks.
